MERCURA
Remotely-controlled portable UHF TACSAT antenna. MERCURA is a fully motorised, tripod-mounted helical antenna which can be hand-carried and deployed at your in-theater HQ. Traditional designs for portable UHF TACSAT antennas can place severe limitations on link performance. These tend to be based on manpack antennas and can lack the gain necessary to give reliable service under adverse conditions. Placing a higher gain antenna at the HQ can greatly improve link margin, giving you reliable communications when you most need them.
